speculation on evolution of Parrakeet design from previous aircraft with brief history of development and comparison of performance &
specifications of A-1, A-4 & A-4C. Bowers claims Hannaford did not sell any aircraft - only plans, but CAA/FAA documents show the sale of Hannaford A-4, S/N 01, NC34253 from Hanaford Aircraft to Roy
D. Pavlik 1 May 1950.

Excellent historical article with great pics. He knew Rose, Hannaford and Rhinehart, but all three had died by the time he started researching this
article. Therefore it contains some statements and dates not supported by CAA/FAA documents, some typeographical errors in the text and captions and it relies heavily on recollections of conversations
with Jack Rose, Foster Hannaford and Doug Rhinehart..

Jerry Springer's Homebuilt Parrakeet N120SE with insert article, which has short history titled Origin of Rose Parrakeet. Jones incorrectly
identifies the Rockford business man as Foster Hannaford whose actual address was Winnetka, IL. Tony Ingrassia and His uncle as Blackhawk Aircraft were the Rockford, IL bussiness men who proceeded
Hannaford.

Excelent technical detail, but much more than an exhaustive discusion of the engines used in the production certified Rose and Rhinehart-Rose
