At some time after Doug Rhinehart's death in 1978, Ed Sweat a Farmington educator and
airport buddy of Doug's, purchased the Rose Parrakeet S/N 106 airframe, which had been used to develop Rhinehart-Rose Mfg. fixtures, the incomplete Rhinehart-Rose S/N 511 airframe as well as some of
those fixtures from Doug's widow, Dimecia Rhinehart Dostaler. He may have also have acquired drawings used by Doug Rhinehart in the A-4C production. He intended to restore Rose S/N 106 as well as
complete Rhinehart Rose S/N 511.
In 1986, he completed construction of S/N511 and registered it as "Experimental" S/N 1986 N200ES. He later sold tracings he made from Doug's drawings
to other home builders as the Ed Sweat "Pajarito". In 1992, he sold the Rose S/N 106 airframe to Larry DeCamp who is nearing completion of NC14866's restoration to original 1936 configuration.
